Boom de ya da- The world is so awesome

It should have seemed I'm no more gonna blog to many. Thanks Sridar...you reminded me to get back. I'm still here....just busy busy with my Phd.

Time to catch a break off-late is while attending conferences and symposiums and they never get boring because they are conducted in the best places around the world and held at the right time.

A month before, my trip to Taiwan for a week was so memorable. Though most of the time was spent listening lectures, still I found sometime to enjoy the place. Night-markets(more like Indian street markets), visit to Taipei 101(tallest building in the world...I'm lucky 'coz Dubai's yet to finish its competing project), the palace museum and a few more spots.

Best of all, I got to meet Eric and Oli...my friends who bid good-bye as they left Japan a year before. I was so happy to see them 'coz I never thought I could meet them...at least not so soon!! Thanks Eric and Oli...I'll never forget the soldiers and the tasty food.

A few weeks before, I got to visit Toyama for another conference. It was to the Japanese Alphs this time...a must-see place in Japan. An area where there are no private-vehicles...surrounding the second-highest Mt.Tateyama in Japan. The track through the route is covered by cable-cars, longest ropeway, tunnel trolleys and buses. Best views you'll never forget for a lifetime can be caught at the Mikurigaike (lake reflecting the skies and mountains), Jigomudai( active volcano), Kurobe(largest dam in Japan) and Murodo base. The place is covered with snow in winter and during spring people get to walk through 20m of snow corridor(wowieeeee!!)

So far for the last two months it's so much. Hope to visit lot more places in the coming days enjoying Physics and research as well...

All I would like to say now is..." Boom-de-ya-da"!! You'll know what it means when you watch the video ;-)

Dance in the rain :)

A week has passed with the dark clouds hiding the smiling sun and the soothing moon. The spring greenery posing greener looks than ever, the little puddles all along the trails I trace, the mild cold breeze carrying the smell of wet soil.....all of these make my cozy room feel no better place to stay in.
All I wish for now....is Dance in the rain

For those who hate the weather.... I just have one thing to say:
---Some people dance in the rain, while others just get wet---

Ice creams for 'happy' birthday ;-)

It has been quite busy busy for sometime now that I did not find time or facts other than my routine to pen down.

But today's weather just turned me on to get active out of my routine too and here I am :-)

Its not just the weather, but the fact that I realized that I've been blogging here for over a year now, forced me in to pen down something useful or useless :D

A cold rainy day while the clouds fought a battle all along the day not letting the sun peep into my table....seems perfect to celebrate blogging at the work table for a break!!

With no coffee and pakoras(woff..woff..woff...I miss it!!) , I opted for Icecream(my next choice on a rainy day). Turns out I preferred to go for ice creams to make it a moment of celebration.

Tiramisu...my current flavor of interest compensated for the coffee and now I am active only to get back to work saying 'tata!! take care'.

A "crazy" idea

Golden week is over and done. Nothing really enthusiastic took place because I went around settling down in my new place all the time. But now, it is time to get back to work(serious and sincere). A year and a half has passed by here as "research scholar". As I sit back and recollect, I realize that I've learned a lot through this. I've learned to read scientific journals and keep myself updated, to understand how things work in this world and lots more including how to handle a few tools in my laboratory (Believe me; this is the hardest part when you move into a new laboratory. Starting from finding screw boxes and tool kits to booking apparatus for use, everything has to be learned). But when it comes to being a "research scholar", it requires much more than this but still sound simple. All it requires to start with is a crazy idea and here I am awaiting one!!

As a part of this, I'd like to start a new space to pen down some crazy solved and unsolved mysteries, ideas, questions, answers, comics and many more too related to science(esp. physics) apart from this usual 'jappu' life discussion space.
Please find my new space here.

All's MeSSyYyiiiIIiii

Lately I've not found time to pen down here.....reasons for which do not make a looooong list.
First and last on the list is my shifting :)
Yupps....I'm moving into a new apartment...a spacious one!! Its a pretty old japanese style housing(tatami mat flooring, square shaped bath tubs, big futon/bedding cupboards) in contrast to the much modern one(flooring, readymade kitchen/bath set) where I live in now.
And the good thing about the new home is that there's gardening space. So my coriander pot is as well gonna find a bigger space to spread.
Though a new place is always exciting, it is equally tiring when it comes to vacating an apartment...its a sort of adventure.I started with cleaning and packing yesterday when I realized how much of trash I've collected in these 1.5years ;) Old bills, expired coupons and miscellaneous junk have filled most of the living space all these days and have flown to all reachable and unreachable corners of the house :D and the packing currently running has made the house messy than ever with packed, unpacked and half-packed stuff(does such a term exist in the dictionary).
This shifting adventure will run through this week and setting the new place(by which I mean just my new internet connection) might take time with "Golden week" holidays following. I'll get back to you when I'm done with everything in my new house :).
